Evaluation and monitoring of the prevalence of Escherichia coli strains producing extended spectrum beta-lactamases (WHO project TRICYCLE1-2)

This project results from the three main aspects of bacterial resistance: human health, food chain and environment.

The study has enabled the production of an initial review of antimicrobial resistance thanks to measurement of a unique indicator in these three inter-dependent sectors, applying a “one health” approach.

The Mérieux Foundation, being satisfied with the results of year 1, has agreed to finance the second year, from December 2020 to December 2021.
