The “Dermatology and Mycology in Madagascar: recognition and treatment of fungal infections” congress enabled medium and short term solutions to be found for a sustainable improvement in the treatment of mycoses in Madagascar.
Health authority representatives, political decision-makers, healthcare professionals and managers of national programmes and reference laboratories participated in the event, organised jointly by the dermatology department of JR Befelatanana university hospital, Antananarivo; the parasitology-mycology department of Saint Antoine hospital, Paris; Tours university; the parasitology-mycology department of Grenoble Alpes university, Grenoble; and CICM.
